Emily is a filmmaker and film journalist living in London. After studying classical piano from the age of five and eventually dropping out of her music degree, she decided to pursue an even more lucrative career path and follow her lifelong dream of becoming a filmmaker.

Since then, she discovered her passion for film criticism and making video essays, leading to collaborations with publications like Little White Lies and Far Out, ranging from film reviews, to features and video essays. While working as a film journalist, she was chosen by Far Out to be the official reporter for the BAFTA’s, Cannes Film Festival and London Film Festival, as well as interviewing renowned artists like Lily Gladstone, Volker Bertelmann, Johan Grimonprez, Sean Wang, Hlynur Pálmason and Adam Elliot.

Emily has continued making films over the last few years, with her most recent short, ‘Middle C’, following a five-year-old girl who has a crush on her piano teacher, despite not knowing that he is gay.
